Adventurer
The Adventurer (7404) introduced a new African American head sculpt, and his black flocking had long stylish sideburns. This replaced the standard caucasian head that was molded in brown for the Black Action Soldier and 1969 Negro Adventurer. The figure can sometimes be found in the box wearing an overstock of the earlier Japanese Imperial Soldier's uniform.

Like the Talking Commander, the Adventurer's box shows Land, Sea, and Air adventure sets. The same side panel selection would be used for the Black version of the Talking Commander in 1973, which has the Adventurer head sculpt with a beard.
