Coded documents are stolen from the Pentagon.  GI Joe must head to Spy Island to recover them and thwart enemy agents!

Cold war xenophobia, James Bond, and leftover accessories from the 1967 Sabotage set all meet up in the Secret Mission to Spy Island (7922).  The set has so much great gear it stayed in the line until the bitter end in 1976, albeit in slightly varied form.  The wire roll that goes with the detonator was inadvertently left from the spin above.   It is in the set contents image below.

The set contents introduced a rubber version of the formerly knit watch cap, and smooth bottom versions of short black boots (below right). The included camouflage fatigues are tagged (R) Hong Kong.  The raft does not have the carry loops or yellow tipped oar found in the sabotage set, though most of the accessories are the same.

Spy Island box art also appeared on the lid of the Adventure Locker.
