Desert Patrol Adventure
The earlier Desert Patrol Jeep got new life in 1971 as the Adventure Team's only J.C. Penny's exclusive, Desert Patrol Adventure (70o0.18). The set recycled items from many earlier adventures, including Mouth of Doom, Capture of the Pygmy Gorilla, White Tiger Hunt, and even some bits from the military era including Bivouac standbys the mess kit and canteen, and the Marine Communications poncho. The examples in the AT set tend to be a more tan camouflage than the greener 60s type.
Both the US and Canadian boxes have the same color litho on the front. The Canadian version has the contents printed on the sided of the box in both English and French.
Paperwork with the Canadian version of the Jeep includes a two sided tent instruction sheet in English and French, along with a bilingual steering wheel installation sheet, and the storage area card under the hood in both languages.
